The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Office of Emergency Management is currently recruiting for an Emergency Management Planning Fellow .

Primary Duties:
Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and training utilizing ideas from planning committees, exercise planning teams, and development of after-action reports from events.
Assist in the development of incorporating and implementing various emergency management themes for the University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in emergency management, homeland security, public safety, public administration, public relations, communications, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Prior experience as a first responder or with another community service organization.
Supervisory Experience: N/A
Certification/Licensure: N/A
Other: Ability to work collaboratively and by consensus.
Familiarity with knowledge of emergency management principles or business continuity, practices, organizations, and procedures.
Apply knowledge of general office equipment and computers to include word processing, spreadsheet, and related software.
Demonstrates experience applying knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
Uses logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate complex situations and research information to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Hiring Range: $52, - $58, (Commensurate with education and experience)
