M Health Fairview is looking for a Register Nurse (RN) in our Birthplace at Northland Hospital in Princeton, MN. This position is a 0.6 FTE ( 48 hours per two weeks) 12 hour shifts on the DAY/NIGHT shift with an every third weekend rotation and a holiday rotation.

At Fairview Northland Medical Center the Birthplace unit consists of Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum patients and you would train to the med/surg unit. The unit consists of 13 post-partum beds and the Labor & Delivery (L&D) has 5 beds. This hospital sees about 400 births a year We are recognized for having high employee engagement results, high patient experience, and an atmosphere of accountability.

Responsibilities Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Assesses patient needs and identifies encouraged nursing outcomes. Develops an individualized nursing plan of care. Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care. Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and encouraged outcomes. Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes. Demonstrates the ability to advance care by using standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to improve patient outcomes Promotes an environment of evidence-based practice (EBP)Qualifications
Required:
Current MN RN license in good standing Current BLS certification - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association 1 years recent L & D experiencePreferred:
