ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Review, maintain and record lease activity in accordance with company policy and IFRS 16 in the financial and lease management systems and submit monthly rent payments for processing. Review, maintain, record and reconcile monthly CAM charges and true-ups and submit for payment processing. Support month-end and year-end close process. Maintain fixed assets and related entries. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and cash reconciliations as assigned. Support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS principles. Other duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process; Hands-on experience with Accounting software packages (i.e. Business Central, etc.); Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLookups, formulas, and pivot tables; Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to be a team player. Multi-location experience required. Retail experience preferred. Experience with shared services preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience
