Job Description

In this role as a DF Design Engineer at MENARD USA, you will be responsible for designing ground improvement solutions for sites with problematic soil conditions. Your innovative thinking and creative design skills will contribute to the development of practical, economical, and sustainable solutions that can be used as alternatives to deep foundations. As a part of our design-build team, you will work in collaboration with other professionals to deliver high-quality projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design ground improvement solutions to address soil-related challenges
  • Collaborate with the design-build team and other professionals
  • Utilize various techniques such as controlled modulus column rigid inclusions, dynamic compaction, wick drains, rapid impact compaction, Vibro-compaction, vibro stone columns, vacuum consolidation, aggregate piers, and bi-modulus column rigid inclusions
  • Create practical, economical, and sustainable alternative solutions to deep foundations
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Expertise in ground improvement techniques
  • Strong knowledge of design-build processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Desired Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in designing ground improvement solutions for sites with problematic soil conditions
  • Understanding of construction industry standards and regulations
