JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Inside Sales Representative

REPORTS TO: Location Manager

WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Controller, Salespeople, Location Managers and Remarketing Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Represent 21st Century Equipment Sales operations in a positive manner to enhance customer confidence.  Coordinate activities and collaborate to best serve the needs of the customer.   Sell wholegoods, parts and service labor.  This position is responsible for monitoring equipment transactions and assisting the Store manager in day-to-day operations. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Attend to walk-in and call-in Customers and sell the Company's products and service with a customer first focus.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner (next business day maximum)
  3. Assure alldocuments associated with sales of wholegoods and attachments are properly and totally completed.
  4. Attend Company, store and community functions that will benefit yourself, fellow employees, and the Dealership; visit with the customers.
  5. Ensure that new machines and machines going out on a demonstration are clean and in "ready to go" condition. Ensure that follow-up service is conducted per manufacturers and Dealership guidelines. Perform qualified field demonstrations as needed.
  6. Ensure that machines are displayed effectively, and yard is inviting and safe for customers.
  7. Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of specific machines, and competitive activity and products, used equipment values for trading purposes, and factory finance plans
  8. Professionally handle in-coming and outgoing sales calls
  9. Maintain manuals, price lists and other documents.
  10. Collect payment at the time of sale or at the time of delivery.
  11. Make every effort to fill Customer's need for "out-of-stock" or "non-stock" and "short line" items.  Track and account for all whole good inventory on site
  12. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance for demonstrations, deliveries and customer interaction.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record – may need CDL
  3. Experience with compact tractors and riding lawn equipment
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Basic math skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires inside and outside work, ability to maneuver over and under agricultural equipment, and able to move objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
