Position Details:
Location:Reliant Medical Group, a Part of Optum: 5 Neponset St, Worcester, MA
Schedule:M - F, 8:30am - 5pm
Specialty:Oncology/Infusion
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instrumentsRoom patients, obtain health history and check vital signsDocument patient care using electronic medical record softwarePerform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samplesAdminister medications and perform injections/immunizationsAssist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testingYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualification:
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or you must be willing to attain that certification within days of the start datePreferred Qualifications:
Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA or RMA)CPR certificationExperience working as a Medical Assistant or EMTExperience with electronic medical record softwareExperience performing medical back office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medicationsProof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is an employment requirement
