Position Summary:  As a Level 2 Production Technician at Genesis Solar, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance activities of our solar power generation facility. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on solar panels, inverters, trackers, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation and Monitoring:

Conduct routine inspections and surveillance of solar equipment, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, trackers, SCADA systems, and meteorological sensors. Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and addressing any deviations or abnormalities promptly. Utilize the plant control systems and SCADA software to manage and control equipment remotely.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Respond to alarms and system alerts, diagnosing faults, and taking appropriate corrective actions. Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with safety guidelines and company procedures. Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on electrical and mechanical components of solar power generation equipment. Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and rectify complex equipment issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and system data to support analysis and reporting. Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents, providing recommendations for improvement. Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for daily operations and maintenance responsibilities.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Follow regulatory and company guidelines to maintain compliance with environmental and operational requirements. Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills as required.

The base pay for this position is $66,400.00 to $99,600.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
