Job Summary:
The Activities Director at Country Gardens Union City is a full-time, hourly position in the Healthcare industry.
This individual contributor role is responsible for planning and implementing activities and programs for our residents in order to promote social interaction, physical and mental stimulation, and an overall sense of well-being.
This job is located in Union City, Georgia and reports to the Facility Administrator.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.5 per hour, paid biweekly.
In addition, employees are eligible for healthcare benefits, paid time off, and other company benefits.
Responsibilities:
1.
Develop and implement a wide range of activities and programs that cater to the physical, mental, and social needs of our residents.
2.
Create a monthly calendar of activities and events and distribute it to residents and their families.
3.
Work closely with the Facility Administrator to maintain and manage the budget for activities and programs.
4.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all activities align with the overall goals and mission of the facility.
5.
Continuously seek feedback from residents and their families to improve and enhance the activities program.
6.
Coordinate and schedule outings and special events for residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
7.
Train and supervise any activity assistants or volunteers to ensure the successful execution of activities.
8.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation in activities.
9.
Ensure that the facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations related to activities and events.
10.
Assist in planning and organizing resident birthday celebrations, holiday parties, and other special events.
Requirements:
1.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a recreational or activity program, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
3.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
5.
Experience working with seniors and understanding their unique needs and preferences.
6.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to activities in a healthcare facility.
7.
Must be flexible and able to work weekends and evenings as needed.
8.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
