Junior Accounts Assistant

We are currently seeking to recruit a junior Accounts Assistant to join the team in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
The role involves responsibility for supporting the company’s routine accounts processing functions by carrying out accounting duties including processing purchase/sales invoices, reconciling supplier/customer statements, handling calls and emails from suppliers/customers, processing expenses and credit cards plus any ad hoc duties.
The successful candidate will be a qualified/part-qualified Accountant, who is seeking to develop their career. They will have a minimum of 2 years accounts experience.

Key Responsibilities
Set up new supplier and customer accounts as well as maintain existing account details Be first point of contact in the accounts team and resolve any queries where possible Conduct bank reconciliations Input supplier invoices onto SAGE daily Prepare Sales invoices monthly Process staff expenses/credit card expenditure Reconcile supplier and customer accounts Ad hoc tasksRequirements:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in in a similar role SAGE Experience Experience with use of Excel Spreadsheets and Office 365 Work well in a small team Extremely organised and efficient Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Friendly, positive and enthusiastic Local to Abingdon, or the surrounding area, and able to work regularly from the office Flexible working style Willing to learn and developPlace of Work
Hybrid working – based at our offices in Abingdon, Oxfordshire (OX14 3YS), and 40% based at home. There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations client facilities).
Salary & Benefits
£23k – £25k depending on experience, 25 Days Paid Annual Leave. Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).
