What we’re looking for

The TFS Legal Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Legal Analyst with experience providing legal and compliance support in the areas of: sales finance company licensing, DMV licensing, securitization trust licensing, and consumer regulatory compliance experience is required. The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the originations team by providing legal support in the areas of licensing, state regulatory compliance, consumer contracting, legislative tracking, and funding support. Reporting to Manager, Regulatory Research and Compliance.

What you’ll be doing

Apply for, maintain, and renew company lease, retail, dealer, insurance, and securitization-related licenses and trade name filings necessary to conduct various entity business in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Prepare annual reports and other notice and informational filings required by regulators. Facilitate payments of state required fees and charges related to licenses and other filings. Obtain and notarize signatures of officers and directors on related documents. Respond to other regulator requests and questions regarding the preparation of our licenses, renewals, annual reports, and other reporting and disclosure requirements imposed by regulators. Supervise work by outside counsel relating to the foregoing. Assist group attorneys with editing forms, e-contracts, updates to policies and procedures, retail installment and lease agreements, desk guides, and ancillary product forms and agreements. Work with legal counsel to review and provide comments on legal issues identified. Proactively finds ways to simplify and expedite the customer’s experience with legal through various channels of customer interactions. Stay current on legal developments in practice areas and seek out training opportunities in new practice areas of current or future value to the business. Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

High School Education or Equivalent required. Valid notary certificate, commission or license or the ability to obtain one. 1+ years of experience providing legal and compliance support. Strong knowledge of legal process and operational matters.

Added bonus if you have

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience using NetDocuments or ChangePro. Knowledge of working with NMLS.
