Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach courses in our Dental Assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assisting courses. The typical teaching load is 2 courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. 

Requirements

Documented expertise in academic area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications, resumeExpertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skillsMinimum of 3 years of significant program related/industry experience for Technical InstructorAppropriate program licensure, including an active radiology license, as well as relevant certifications, work experience and Associates or Bachelors degree as per accreditation and state licensing procedures. Specific requirements may vary depending upon state and accrediting commission regulations.Depending on the program taught, a certificate, diploma or degree at the same level as conferred for the program taught. Post secondary teaching experience preferredStrong organizational and planning skillsTeam player who demonstrates initiative, dependability and reliability
