Avera is currently seeking an Administrator at our Missouri River Healthcare Center in Gettysburg, SD.

About Missouri River Health Center:

Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg, SD is a 21,800-square-foot critical access facility with hospital, clinic, and long-term care settings that incorporates innovative design and technology allowing for flexibility in care delivery — a necessity for rural health care. Avera Missouri River Health Center consists of a licensed 7 bed critical access hospital accredited by State of South Dakota, Avera Medical Group Gettysburg, Avera Oahe Manor Long-Term Care, and Avera Oahe Villa senior living. Job Summary

The Administrator is responsible for the strategic vision for the delivery of healthcare in the Gettysburg area. Ensures the operations in Gettysburg are in compliance with all appropriate Federal and State statutes and regulations. Responsible for quality, patient satisfaction, financial performance and employee engagement and retention. Ensures rapport with the medical staff. Represents a professional manner in/outside the facility and models the Avera Standards for Service Excellence. Accountable to the Regional President and CEO for the Avera St. Mary’s Region as well as a board of directors.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare administration or related field Masters’ Degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration preferred

Required License/Certification/Registration

Must have a SD Nursing Home Administrator license or willing to obtain within the first six months of employment.
