CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. For well over a century our commitment to serve our community inspires our staff to provide the highest quality of care to all who we have the privilege to serve.


Responsibilities

We take our sleep seriously, and with our Polysom Techs to help, we can find effective ways to help others. This position allows you to step into the role in a training capacity as you work to become fully certified as a Polysomnographic Technologist.

What you will do:

Provides for the assessment and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of diagnostic testing ands responsible for communication to the physician of pertinent patient data Initiates and monitors overnight testing procedures in accordance with American Academy of Sleep Medicine Communicates a professional attitude with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel and practices strict ethical enforcement of protected medical and employee confidentiality Operates in full compliance with the organization’s safety program, responds to all emergency preparedness situations as appropriate, utilizes standard precaution and assures unit’s equipment is ready for safe operation, and participates in quality assurance programs as directed Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth, and fulfills yearly education requirements as stated by policy  Scores sleep studies under the supervision of a RPSGT, RST or CPSGT Authorized to make entries in the electronic medical record, consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable licensure Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

Education/Licensure

What you need:

High School diploma or equivalent RPSGT certification within 2 years of hire Licensure for IA polysomnography within 2 years of hire BLS certification from American heart Association required upon hire
