Essential Job Functions: Maintain / Repair / Replace all Electrical Equipment as needed PM Elevators ( All Campus locations ) PM Code Blue Emergency  PM VFD’s ( North Campus ) Maintain / Repair / Replace inside and outside lighting as needed Maintain / Repair / Replace Parking lot lighting as needed Close out of work orders and Maintain Inventory Control ( Web TMA ) Maintain / Repair / Replace Emergency and Egress lighting as needed Maintain Standby Generator Systems Assist other Crafts / Faculty / Staff / Students as needed Additional Job Functions: Assist Outside Contractors as needed Retrofit, or Install Electrical Systems as needed to support the College needs Surveys / Studies / Evaluations / etc. Survey repairs to problems with the Electrical Systems Shut down 12470 Gear and inspect / Repair / clean as needed Attend training as needed, and deemed necessary by supervisor, and / or the college to keep abreast of the changing technology and to meet licensing requirements Other duties as assigned Required Education:   High School , or 5 years Electrical Apprenticeship, either formal or on the job training. Required Experience: Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the Electrical Industry, of which 5 years as a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, preferably Commercial. Required Licenses/Certifications: State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License Preferred Licenses/Certifications: State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License Work Environment: Must be neat in appearance, and be willing to work outside, in all weather conditions. Must be able to work in an office, and classroom environment, and maintain a courteous and professional attitude, at all times. Must be able to speak English, with Bi-lingual as a plus Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds Must be willing to train and be certified on our fork trucks And other heavy equipment if necessary Climbing and working at heights on area lighting and other projects Physical Activity: Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds All work must be installed as per the NEC as a minimum Must be self sufficient, and self motivated Must be able to keep Safety, of Faculty, Staff, and Students at the front of all projects
