This client is a well established company in Agriculture and Manufacturing and have been family owned for almost 100 years. Our client is looking for a qualified Refrigeration Technician to perform certain freezer repairs to include but not limited to replacing/repairing ammonia pumps, compressors, boilers, and control valves. The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Must complete Emergency Response Training and annual physical.
- Performs certain freezer repairs with supervision.
- Assure all guards are in place prior to operating.
- Report any product questionable in quality to the Manager, Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance personnel immediately.
- Properly dispose of waste materials
- Desire and ability to advance to higher levels of Refrigeration responsibilities with training and education.
- Adheres to common safety practices and rules; including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
- Adheres to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
- Keep all areas clean and orderly at all times.
- Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, food safety, food security, product quality, plant security, etc.Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Complete knowledge and understanding of Refrigeration (NH3) ammonia system operations and controls.
