Senior Network EngineerWhat does a successful Senior Network Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will have the opportunity to join an experienced team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a wide variety of network services and technologies for numerous clients and business units across the enterprise.
What you will do:
Design and deploy optimal networking and connectivity solutions that enable clients and business units to achieve their operational and business goals Collaborate with telecom providers, equipment suppliers, and 3rd party network vendors to engage their technical resources to perform tasks Analyze and interpret traffic and utilization of services on network connections Participate in disaster recovery exercises, pre-production certification testing, and troubleshooting events Coordinate internal operations to meet and exceed data communication project expectations, including but not limited to engineering/development, certification testing, network and IT operations, capacity planning and production readiness Manage partner/client expectations for data communications connectivity and related services to Fiserv products and applications, throughout project lifecycle Perform off-hours/on-call work as neededWhat you will need to have:
8+ years of experience in design, planning, coordination, and implementation of technology projects among multiple telecom and equipment vendors and customers 8+ years of hands-on experience with data center technologies, layer-2 and layer-3 protocols (LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spanning-tree, HSRP, and EIGRP) 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring Cisco IOS 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus equipment and OS Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experienceWhat would be great to have:
Experience with VRF, NAT/PAT Experience with load balancer configurations (ACE, Netscaler, Foundry, F5) Experience with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, PIX, Checkpoint) Industry certifications a plus (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE)This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York or Washington.
