- The Racing Valet is responsible for ensuring that the Jockeys, Jockey equipment, and attire are prepared and secured for each race in a timely and efficient manner. - Ensure that horses are saddled properly. - Prepare jockey equipment prior to each race. - Ensure that jockey is properly attired for each race. - Assist jockey in unsaddling of horses . - Provide professional representation at internal and external meetings and events. - Demonstrate abilities to meet performance expectations with Communications, initiative/Problem Solving, Guest Service/interpersonal Relations, Work Habits and Conduct, and Responsible Gaming/Business Ethics. - Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the customer service program. - Adhere to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - High School Diploma/GED; 0-6 months of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must have experience working with and around horses, not necessarily as a Valet. - Answer routine questions from co-workers. - Lead completion of daily tasks within the department or work unit. - interact with others when necessary to achieve desired outcomes. - Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. - Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests. - Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules. - Multilingual, preferred. - Must have the ability to perform basic math skills. - Must qualify for a state Gaming/Racing license and meet any credentialing requirements. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
