Responsibilities
Maintain residence in a neat, clean and orderly fashion Assist individuals in their morning routines, ensuring that they are appropriately prepared for the routines of the day. Provide awake coverage when required to assist individuals in evacuating during fire drills or in any emergency situation. Assist people with medications and health care needs, monitor and communicate health care issues. Physically assist people during emergency procedures or as needed for required care. Participate in the development of Individual Service Plans and implement ISP objectives consistently. Ensure that people’s human rights, privacy and confidentiality are respected. Ensure that people’s transportation needs are met. Role model appropriate behaviors, dress and social norms. Maintain communication with other staff through the use of the daily log, incident reports, etc. Participate in all required trainings, staff meetings and supervisions. Complete required trainings and maintain certifications. Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.Competencies:

Interpersonal Skills- maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things. Oral communication- speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations demonstrates group presentation skills. Written Communication- is able to read and write information to communicate. Planning/organizing- prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. Quality control- demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Adaptability- adapts to changes in the work environment and deals with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Dependability- is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Safety and security- actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. One year experience in developmental services/behavioral health area preferred. Valid driver’s license along with an acceptable driving status. Use of a reliable vehicle, which seats two passengers.
