Tool and Die MakerAutomation Personnel Services is looking for hard-working Tool and Die Makers for Adient, a major auto parts supplier located in Clanton, Al. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as adjusting tooling, reading and interpreting blueprints, and other related duties.  Pay Rate: Depends on experience but ranges from $28.65 per hour and up Schedule and Hours:Monday to Friday with weekend work possible, flexibility in work schedule necessary Tool and Die Maker Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates machine tools and fits and assembles parts to repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines Attention to detail in manufacturing processes with small product tolerance bands
  • Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations, and machines required by studying specifications such as blueprint, sketch, damaged part or description of part.
  • Plans and executes assignment using machine tools ranging from lathes to milling machines.
  • Utilizes precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work.
  • Schedule and order parts and equipment needed for new assembly lines
  • Material allocation
  • Respond urgently during production hours in performing duties to assist maintenance.
  • Conscious of cost and production impact of downtime on any machinery and equipment.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback about production machinery and equipment to tool and die supervisor.
 Tool and Die Maker Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Four year tool and tie apprenticeship or equivalent of minimum 7 years experience in tool and die.  Preferred experience in metal manufacturing environment.
  2. Requires machine shop training in mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout, and machining procedures.
  3. Good Communication Skills
  4. Experience in building and maintenance of production equipment
      CNC experience and CNC programming
  1. Computer literate
  2. Experience with press dies preferred.
  3. Must have equivalent of a high school diploma.
      8)  Must be willing to test in tool and die apprenticeship as required.  Job Type:
