Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Core/Coil Stacker - 3rd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary
Use defined procedures, bills of materials, and equipment to assemble various sizes of transformers and related sub-assemblies; rework damaged or defective component parts; and complete assemblies.

Job Responsibilities
• Performs work in some or all of the following work centers: 
Bake oven
coil hot press
core/clamp
Turn to turn ratio testing (T.T.R) / Hook-Up (Involves frequent simple grasping and fine manupualtion)
low voltage welding/finishing
lead press
stacking

• Following customer specifications, blueprints and bills of material, follows standardized procedures and prescribed methods (NFOI) to assemble various sizes of transformers and related sub-assemblies. 
• Loads cores and coils onto stacking line, stacks core around the legs of the coils, applies steel banding strap to core clamp the assembly, operates TIG welder to weld together L.V. leads and crossovers, follows L.V. & H.V. hookup diagrams to make all assembly connections, tests each finished unit for proper ratio and good connections using TTR tester, operates worksaver to transport racks of finished assemblies to designated storage area. 
• Based on shipping schedule, identifies and scans units to generate data for oven loading sequence and loads units into core/coil bake oven, welds lead assemblies as required for future orders, using provided scheduling documents and bills of materials, stamps out and welds lead assemblies to support production. 
• Reworks damaged or defective component parts and complete assemblies. 
• Scrap unusable or overstock materials and parts. 
• Inspect tools for damage and repair/replacement. 
• Perform routine upkeep on tools and equipment. 
• Utilizes various manual and powered hand tools. 
• Uses simple measuring devices. 
• Manually handles material in the medium-heavy weight range. - more specific
Bend and stoop frequently and stand and walk constantly.
• Operates hoist and other material handling equipment. -
• May operate powered industrial truck. 
• Ensure compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices & company policies and procedures.
• Attends work on a regular basis."
 

Qualifications:

Education level required  

No education is required but must have the ability to read and understand written communications including basic operating instructions.

Years and area of experience required

Manufacturing experience preferred. 

Skills:

Technical knowledge  

• Perform job safety analysis.
• Follow production schedules.
• Perform close vision work. 
• Bend and stoop frequently and stand and walk constantly. 
• Use hands and upper extremities to perform tasks of a repetitive nature.
