Position Title: RN Nurse Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other nursing personnel to ensure the provision of safe and effective resident care
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, monitor care delivery, and address any concerns or issues promptly
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including mentoring, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols consistent with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, related to resident care, documentation, and quality assurance
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize resident outcomes and satisfaction
  • Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Investigate and address resident and family complaints or grievances related to nursing care, in collaboration with appropriate personnel
  • Assist with staffing coordination, including scheduling, recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluation of nursing staff
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to promote effective communication and continuity of care
Qualifications:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years of skilled nursing experience, with previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage nursing staff
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations, standards of practice, and quality improvement processes
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to resident-centered care, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills
  • CPR certification preferred depending on the healthcare setting
