Essential Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
Attend GOLFTEC University, GOLFTEC’s comprehensive training programUse professional expertise to recommend teaching and learning content and create custom lesson plans for students of varying skill levelsRecommend appropriate GOLFTEC services for each student, including TECFIT Club Fitting, outdoor playing lessons, short game lessons, etc.Document each lesson given and publish recaps to our online portal using GOLFTEC’s proprietary TECSWING teaching softwareMaintain the GOLFTEC Training Center environment, equipment and technologyPerform daily opening & closing functions for the Training Center, including preparing GOLFTEC teaching systems for useParticipate in continuing education to enhance skills (distance learning, PGA Section seminars, etc.)Mobility is an essential function of this career. Coaches generally need physical capabilities to stand, bend, kneel or crouch for sometimes extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 poundsBenefits
Compensation
GOLFTEC Coaches work together as a team and are incentivized by the Center’s performance as well as individual performance. GOLFTEC Coaches are paid a competitive base rate along with commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based components. In 2021the average Total Compensation for a GOLFTEC Coach that worked the full year was $65,200. Base compensation is in the form of an hourly rate plus overtime, and is based on location, and experience. Base compensation on average is 48% of Total Compensation. Monthly commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based compensation components account for 52% of Total Compensation, and are based on the Center’s performance as well as individual performance.

GOLFTEC Coaches work a set schedule, receive two days off per week, one being a weekend daySeven (7) paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayAll Coaches accrue paid Personal Time Off and are also awarded Personal Days which can be used to take time off from normally scheduled workdaysHealth Insurance (Company pays 50% of individual & family)401(k) Plan available with employer matchShort-Term Disability (paid for by employer)Dental and Vision Benefits availableNon-PGA members receive $1,000 annually to assist with the costs of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program100% of PGA Dues paid annuallyContinuing education allowance of $500 per yearGOLFTEC Staff Agreement for all Coaches which includes new golf clubs annuallyAnnual clothing allotment-
