2024 Summer Nurse Internship program at the North Dakota State Hospital

Temporary/Summer - Nurse Intern

Varied Hours and Shifts Available $

As a Nurse Intern, you will gain on-the-job experience by providing patient care and completing nursing assessments for clients of the North Dakota State Hospital. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide and ensure quality nursing care is delivered to NDSH clients. You will relate to clients in a therapeutic manner, communicate pertinent information to staff, complete thorough and timely documentation, and create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients. In addition, you may administer medications.

To be considered for this position you are requires completion of one (1) year of an RN or LPN accredited program or a recent graduate of an accredited nursing program and awaiting testing for licensing examination leading to licensure.

The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
