Drywall Finisher

Summary/Objective


Apply joint tape and compound to sheet seams, walls, ceilings and inside corners – plus compound fill fastener (screw and nail head) locations. Install corner bead to wall outside corners, archways, beams, etc. Apply (standard) finish of spatter coat and primer spray to walls and ceilings per each homes work order in a timely, orderly, professional manner.

Essential Functions

• To seam tape joints and compound, inside corners, wall to ceilings
• Install corner bead (square & round) to walls, archways, beams, alcoves, build outs, etc.
• Fill all screw, nails with compound – allow to dry – sand each
• Apply drywall finishes – sand – textured – spatter coat – know down – smooth, allow to dry, spray primer coat and/or (optional) ultras or equal paint.

Competencies

• Familiar with or have had some hands on, with the duties the job requires, taping of joints – corners, etc.
• Handling of equipment, (banjo – towels – sprayers)
• Mixing of compounds, (dry and premixed)
• Appling of texture to walls, ceilings in an even uniform, professional manner.
• Understand and remember air pressure settings.
• Internal workings of spraying equipment for adjustment, maintenance and cleaning.
• Able to work overhead on stilts and scaffold and walk while looking up.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Occasionally, management may require overtime based on production needs
