Neurology Opportunity in Illinois – NO CALL

Overview: Join a dynamic neurology team in Illinois with a focus on epilepsy care and neurosurgery support. This position offers the opportunity to work in a teaching facility renowned for its epilepsy center and comprehensive neurological services. Enjoy a fulfilling role with no on-call responsibilities and ample support for professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • State License Required: Yes
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
  • DEA Required: Yes
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
  • CSR License Required: Yes

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload focused on Neuro-Epilepsy patients
  • See approximately 8-12 patients per day
  • Review EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) data
  • Collaborate closely with the Neurological support team
  • Conduct cEEG and LTEEG readings
  • Support the functional neurosurgery program including brain mapping
  • Familiarity with indications and management of VNS, RNS, and DBS for epilepsy
  • Experience with perioperative SEEG analysis preferred
  • Participate in epilepsy surgery evaluations with a team of 3 APPs and neurological support staff

  • Travel Allowed: Mileage (Personal Vehicle), Airfare, Lodging, Parking, Rental Car & Fuel, Ground Transportation
