Summary

The EVS Operations Coordinator serves as a resource for providing key operations support to the Environmental Services Department through the EVS Business Manager. Duties undertaken by the role help to enhance the overall effectiveness and productivity of operations as well as the quality of environmental services provided to the facility.


Responsibilities

  1.  Answer calls for service and assigning the request to an interdepartmental employee or to another department within the hospital. Documenting and tracking each call using Microsoft excel. Works with supervisors to address and resolve quality issues within the facility. Keeps record of distribution and outcomes using excel is a tracking tool.
  2.  Review over 100 employee’s timecards to ensure their employee's time is accurately recorded and complete. Work with employees and supervisors to resolve errors (i.e. missed punches, meal break adjustment, etc.). Request and assist with the completion of payroll adjustment forms.
  3.  Act as the first point of face-to-face contact for employees, vendors, and contractors.
  4.  Spearhead the department OSHA, outlook, UKG, ICIMS, and Mercy training programs in a classroom setting. Assist with promoting department initiatives such as AIDET and cultural of excellence core 3.
  5.  Facilitates purchases from vendors for supplies using Premier. Completes inventory on interdepartmental supplies and reports issues, if necessary.
  6.  Manage the onboarding process for new hires. Create PowerPoint presentations and checklists to use for training.
  7.  Organize and archive sensitive documents that may include medical records or payroll.
  8.  Create fliers using Microsoft publisher, maintain and continuously update the department’s bulletin boards, PTO schedules, and etc.
  9.  Creating reports using excel and management of employee recognition programs.
  10.  Maintain, organize, and clean of office setting as needed.
  11.  All other duties as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
    • Preferred Undergraduate Degree
    • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or a reasonable combination of experience and education.

      • Performance Manager/NetLearning
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
