We are seeking a talented and experienced professional with expertise in AI/ML workload characterization, benchmarking, performance analysis, and networking to join our team. You will play a crucial role in understanding how to optimize network behavior to maximize the performance of AI/ML clusters. Your hands-on experience in studying and benchmarking scale-out AI/ML workloads and other high-performance workloads will be highly valuable in this role.

  Responsibilities:

Run AI/ML benchmarks and other workloads relevant to AI/ML on clusters with high-performance networks. Iterate with different network devices, topologies, configurations, and protocols. Conduct in-depth analysis of workloads and applications to understand their network resource requirements, performance characteristics, and network traffic patterns. Develop relevant tools such as workload generators. Perform comprehensive performance analysis based on test runs on real hardware and simulations to identify bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and areas for optimization. Prepare reports and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and performance analysis results.


Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.  Professional experience in networking. Familiarity with Ethernet switching and network protocols. Professional experience in running AI/ML benchmarks and workloads on scale-out clusters. Experience in analyzing network traffic patterns, latency, throughput, bandwidth, and congestion to optimize network design and performance. Ability to write software tools for network performance studies. A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest AI/ML and networking technologies.

Minimum Salary: $159,200.00

Maximum Salary:$225,850.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $159,200.00 and $225,850.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
