Your role as a Delivery Driver

As a Delivery Driver at Aaron's, you will be at the heart of our operations, handling merchandise with care from loading and securing it in the delivery vehicle to delivering, setting up, and demonstrating products to our customers. Your role goes beyond just delivery - you will troubleshoot any issues and ensure that the products are in perfect working order before leaving the customers' homes. Occasionally, you may need to review lease agreements to ensure all terms are met.

Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Having technical prowess or a working knowledge of electronic products will serve you well in troubleshooting and setting up merchandise. Good driving skills are a must for safely navigating delivery routes.

Flexibility is important, as the job requires working a schedule that may span from 8 am to 9 pm. Additionally, meeting all necessary certifications, screenings, and background checks to comply with company policies and regulations is crucial to ensure a smooth and successful transition into the role.

The knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Position routinely requires lifting, loading, and "dollying" 50-300 pounds
  • Neatly groomed appearance
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong technical skills or working knowledge of electronic products
  • Good driving skills
  • Ability to work a schedule of budgeted hours varying from 8am to 9pm
  • Satisfactory MVR (driving record)
  • D.O.T. physical/certification in states that require it, a drug screen, criminal background investigation with job performance reference check, and required testing
  • A valid Driver's License and compliance with the Company's Driver Qualification Policy
