We are seeking a  Production Technician  for our DeLand Facility

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Technician I is an entry level role which operates manufacturing equipment, assembles and measures products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift. Uses manual measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers, to ensure products meet manufacturing specifications. Prepares and assembles materials. Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of FOD. Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed. Operates various manufacturing equipment, such as a band saw, router table, drill press, wire winder, spot welding, and/or abrasive saw machines. Adheres to all safety guidelines. Ensures that all production deadlines are met. Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma/GED or Vocational School equivalent  Understands basic safety standards and policies 1+ year of experience in manufacturing preferred Basic tool and mechanical aptitude Ability to follow verbal and detailed written instructions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly communicate. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle material, as well as reach with hands and arms (including overhead). The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
