Job Posting: Injection Molding Technician

 

Purpose:

Join our dynamic Molding team and play a crucial role in ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products to our customers. As an Injection Molding Technician, you will implement our Quality Policy and maintain ISO 9001:2008 and other applicable industry standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and adjust injection molding machines and secondary equipment related to the molding process.
  • Continuously seek process improvements.
  • Meet IQMS Purchase Order requirements and documentation for quality and timeliness.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment as directed.
  • Install molds in machines according to work order specifications.
  • Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results.
  • Perform mold changes safely and efficiently using crane hoists.
  • Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times.
  • Participate in OSHA compliance activities.
  • Set up robots and End of Arm tooling to remove parts and runners.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes.
  • Address unacceptable reject levels and respond to machine alarms promptly.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of all materials, molds, and tooling.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between shifts.
  • Ensure continuous operation of production equipment.
  • Foster a positive work environment and awareness of company goals and objectives.
  • Perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 25lbs, reading, and using nimble hands for typing and writing.
  • Wear PPE as required, such as back braces and steel-toe shoes.

 

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Training in molding operations.

 

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in injection molding.
  • Proven ability in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with injection molding machines.
  • Strong track record of getting the job done.

 

Personal Characteristics:

  • Careful worker with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and pay close attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful problem solver.

 

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Shift Supervisor and Molding Manager.
