Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our client's Information Security team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting our client's information systems, data, and networks from cyber threats. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and implement security measures that align with our client's risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Respond: Continuously monitor security alerts and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate risks.
- Threat Analysis: Analyze security events, identify potential threats, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses and implement remediation.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations of security breaches and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve and report on incidents.
- Security Policies: Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with the company's security standards and industry best practices.
- Security Tools: Manage and optimize security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
- Training & Awareness: Support ongoing training initiatives to raise awareness of cybersecurity best practices among employees.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network security, encryption methods, firewall management, and threat intelligence.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data and security incidents to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing security incidents.
