EquipmentShare is seeking a Market Pricing Specialist to be play a pivotal role in optimizing pricing purchase strategies to enhance competitiveness and drive cost efficiency for the aftermarket and indirect sourcing team. Collaborating closely with the sourcing and service teams, you'll evaluate pricing dynamics, identify opportunities for strategic pricing adjustments, and lead benchmarking exercises to help stakeholders negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

Duties/Responsibilities

Evaluate Market Trends: Monitor market dynamics, including supply and demand fluctuations, competitor pricing strategies, and industry trends, to identify opportunities and threats to pricing structures.Conduct Pricing Analysis: Analyze pricing data and financial metrics to evaluate the profitability of current pricing strategies and propose adjustments to maximize revenue and margin.Collaborate with Sourcing Team: Work closely with the sourcing team to understand supplier costs, negotiate pricing agreements, and ensure alignment between procurement strategies and pricing objectives.Lead Benchmarking Exercises: Coordinate benchmarking studies to compare pricing levels and terms with competitors and industry standards, leveraging insights to optimize pricing competitiveness.Develop Pricing Models: Design and implement pricing models and methodologies tailored to the construction equipment market, considering factors such as equipment specifications, customer segments, and geographic regions.Forecast Pricing Impact: Forecast the potential impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability, utilizing historical data and market intelligence to inform decision-making.Monitor Price Performance: Track the performance of pricing initiatives and adjustments, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as price realization, market share, and customer satisfaction to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Provide Strategic Recommendations: Present findings and recommendations to senior management, providing insights into pricing strategies, market opportunities, and competitive positioning to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. Travel to trade shows as required to gather alternate pricing options.

Skills & Qualifications 

Required Skills/Abilities

Data Analysis Proficiency: Solid understanding of various data analysis, reporting, and CRM tools such as SQL, Python, R, Looker, Salesforce, with a willingness to learn new tools.Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills essential for collaborating with stakeholders and leading teams.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to derive insights from disparate data sources, enabling fact-based decision-making and continuous improvement.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and innovatively, solving complex problems and balancing multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.Adaptability: Capable of operating in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a change management enthusiast. 

Education and Experience: 

A minimum of 5+ years of experience: Must have the ability to demonstrate expertise in pricing, revenue optimization, or related fields.Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics, economics, finance, or a related field required, experience in similar roles with 10+ years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.Must have worked within the construction, mining, industrial manufacturing, or engineering equipment sectors within supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, or pricing departments. Experience at an Automotive Parts Aftermarket, Contruction or Agricultural OEM company within the alternate sourcing, Pricing or Account Managment will be advantageous. 

Physical Requirements: 

Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.Occasional travel may exceed 20%.
