The Job

Finds ends on forming stock. Places quality stock on transportation equipment. Visually inspects packages for quality. Asides rejects to designated transportation equipment. Loads and unloads forming tubes to and from conveyor, segregates tubes. Performs proper scanning procedure(s).

Do these responsibilities describe what you do best?

Loads and unloads forming packages (empty and with glass) onto and from conveyor to and from transportation equipment and other surge devices. Finds ends on packages, identifies stock, and segregates packages (including but not limited to using tube color, wing tags, scanner, other tags, weight, etc.). Moves transportation equipment between work and surge areas. Visually inspects packages (including but not limited to bead breaks, cuts, under-weights, loose glass, grease, fuzz, broken tubes, no binder, recaps, etc.). Performs proper scanning procedure(s). Sets aside non-conforming packages and notifies appropriate personnel. Records production and generates report(s) (including but not limited to using scanners, uploading data into computer, generating performance report, verifying downtime allowance, etc.). Gathers, inspects, and tracks (includes weight & man hours) chargebacks. Tags or identifies transportation equipment that needs repair. Empties air runback bag waste. Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by Management.

Qualifications

You are/have:

High School Diploma or GED. Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Experience in a manufacturing environment at least 1 year is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to stand for 12 hours a day. Learn quickly under fast paced production environment. Ability to work swing shift. Must be able to pass Work Keys. Great communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Ready to be a part of a successful team. Eager to build a career in an industrial manufacturing business.
