CCM-Host-Hostess Nutritional Service

The Host/Hostess distributes and collects patient trays. Assists with tray set up. Assists with menu selection/collection. Stocks floor kitchen, and distributes patient nourishments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school graduate or GED.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EXPERIENCE:

1. Six months experience with therapeutic diets preferred.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Verify diet orders prior to each meal.

2. Deliver patient trays, set-up tray as necessary, collect trays.

3. Record I&O’s, calorie counts and percent eaten.

4. Communicates with nursing, co-workers and dietitians as various problems/issues arise.

5. Assist with menu collection.

6. Deliver patient nourishments.

7. Stock assigned floor kitchens.

8. Provide patient with special requests as diet permits.

9. Assists with training and orientation of new employees in various areas.
