Admissions/Marketing Coordinator

JOB DUTIES:
- Answer referrals in a timely manner
- Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.
- Market the facility to referral sources to gain new business
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources
- Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility
- Complete all admission paperwork for new admissions in a timely manner
- Ensure facility has all required paperwork for admission
- Verify payer sources and ensure referral is clinically approved prior to admission
- Receive and coordinate investigation/follow through of concerns, complaints received and communicate this information with the Administrator
- Communicate effectively and consistently with the Administrator and take directions from the Administrator
- Ensure resident, visitor and employee concerns are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to person who originated concern
- Meet with members of community organizations
- Promote good public relations within the community
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Must be willing to travel locally
Required experience:
- Long term care: 1 year
