Position: Surgery Scheduler - Clinic Specialty: GI Location: Munster, IN  Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Network Manager and/or Office Supervisor, the Surgery Scheduler is responsible for a variety of functions to ensure the accuracy and timely scheduling of surgical procedures. They must maintain all appropriate scheduling records and documentation; communicate effectively with office staff, providers, and patients; and act as a liaison for patients who need additional resources, information, or assistance in this process.

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School diploma (or GED equivalent) required. Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting required. Previous scheduling or registration experience preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of medical terminology. Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred. Proficiency with Windows based desktop application is required. Basic knowledge of computers, office equipment, keyboard data entry skills are required. Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities are necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
