About GMP – Global Machine Pricing

GMP operates as a trusted advisor for the company in the matter of machine pricing decisions and processes. This organization partners with different areas of the business to recommend and execute the pricing decisions to drive profitable growth to the company.

The Opportunity

As a Pricing Manager, you will work alongside the different Financial organizations of the Machine Business Divisions, as well as in parallel with the sales organizations to provide the company with an accurate Sales Variance Forecasting.

What Will You Do

Managing and supervising pricing analysts and consultants to support pricing forecasting activities including price realization and process improvements. Analyzing and forecasting sales variance of proposed pricing actions while providing consultation to key business partners. Supporting Machine Business Divisions with recommendations and analysis of price forecasting activities

What You Have

Experience in accounting roles, good understanding of accounting practices and business unit accountable financial statements Strong communication skills to help translate financial impact of commercial decisions Ability to work in collaboration with business partners to find common solutions Motivation to innovate by using analytics to support sales variance forecasting

Skills

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

Level Working Knowledge:

Follows proper data gathering and analysis processes and policies. Reports problems that arise in the data collection process. Participates in gathering and analyzing an organization's data based on requirements. Documents data from various sources and in various formats. Utilizes basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques.


Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Level Working Knowledge:

Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas. Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns. Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.


Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.


Level Extensive Experience:

Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position. Communicates well downward, upward, and outward. Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.


Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.


Level Working Knowledge:

Raises awareness of potential strategic alliances and partnerships. Explains elements of the strategy to others and encourages questions. Monitors marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities; reports findings. Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
