About The Position
Summary:
- Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and follow-up services for disorders of speech, language, cognitive and social aspects of communication.
- Observed and assessed the integrity and function of structures important for swallowing and feeding of nutritional management along with appropriate treatment plan.
- Reports to the Supervisor of the Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interrogate and make settings in accordance with ordered parameters.
- Perform a variety of EEG`s: Routine, Sleep Deprived, Portable, Ambulatory, and Video monitoring.
- Collaborate and work with patients and colleagues in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
- Performed Nerve Conduction Studies and assist the provider with the EMG portion.
- Provided accurate, high-quality Neurodiagnostic testing and technical analysis.
- Collected and/or reviewed pertinent medical, historical, and medication information in order to perform the appropriate study prescribed by the physician as outlined by departmental policies and procedures.
- Performed prescribed standard electroencephalographic procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- EEG Certification.
- One year current EEG experience required.
- Current AHA BLS.
