Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Water Wastewater Engineer with 7 years of experience to join our growing Resilience Water Team in either Tampa, Orlando, Plantation, Jacksonville, or Miami, Florida 

We are looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues like quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience. Collaborating with other experienced Water Professionals, you will support, manage, and drive development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical and professional capabilities.

This role sits within our global business area Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, were feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which were seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead tasks and projects for the planning, design and construction of Water/Wastewater distribution/collection systems, pump/lift stations, and/or treatment plants.

Other responsibilities include: 

Develop design and construction documents (i.e., reports, technical memoranda, specifications). Support construction administration of projects. Work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams. Serve as Project Manager (or Assistant Project Manager) on projects. Develop scopes of work and budgets. Support client teams in identifying, tracking, and positioning for opportunities. Participate in pursuit capture planning for new project opportunities. Support preparation of proposals. Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

7 years of experience in engineering and consulting, primarily related to the municipal water market. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field. PE license in Florida or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within six months. 

Key Skills and Abilities

Project Management experience. Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

10 years of experience in engineering and consulting, primarily related to the municipal water market. 3 years of experience in local municipal water markets. Master of Science or Master of Engineering in a related field. Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
