Call Coverage:
Mostly phone calls (mommy clinic calls + hospital/ER phone calls)
Unrestricted home call
Need to come in only for new diabetic consults (typically a 48-hour admission, requiring at least one visit to meet the family and arrange follow-up)
Hospitalists admit and manage most patients with phone call support
Clinic Coverage:
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
24-hour call coverage from Monday through Sunday
