Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented developers working on our cloud-based projects. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of cloud platforms and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of developers in cloud-based projects, ensuring high performance and successful project delivery.
  • Act as a technical architect and provide hands-on development expertise, with a preference for experience in AWS, but also considering GCP or Azure.
  • Program proficiently in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C, or JavaScript.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of Kubernetes to manage and deploy containerized applications.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Agile development processes, including running sprints, quality estimations, and daily standups.
  • Mentor and grow junior developers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to expand the development team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience running a team of developers on cloud projects.
  • Proven experience as a developer or technical architect with AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, C, JavaScript).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Agile development processes.
  • Strong HR skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior developers.
  • Experience interviewing and hiring developers.
