Description:

The Administrator is responsible, leads and directs the overall operation of the facility using sound business judgment, strong leadership, diplomacy and positive community relation skills to develop and execute all policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  •          Serves as the role model for the company’s Vision Statement and collaborates with Department Managers to ensure implementation and compliance.
  •          Anticipates customers’ needs and works to minimize potential problems.
  •          Participates in and promotes patients’ rights and customer service programs.
  •          Ensures staff ability to effectively utilize the compliment/complaint process.
  •          Supports, promotes and consistently utilizes the QAA process.
  •          Ensures ethical care delivery with adherence to corporate compliance and safe business practices.
  •          Understands and promotes the Federal, State and company position on Abuse and Neglect prevention.
  •          Works with the Regional staff and consultants in planning all aspects of facility’s operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
  •          Monitors each department’s activities, communicates policies, evaluates performance, provides feedback and assists, coaches and disciplines as needed.
  •          Conducts regular rounds to ensure resident needs are being addressed, monitors operations of all departments, cleanliness and appearance of facility, and morale of staff.
  •          Ensures consultants and other support resources are appropriately utilized and a high level of inter-departmental teamwork is maintained.
  •          Maintains a working knowledge and ensures compliance with all governmental regulations and company Quality Assurance Standards.
  •          Works with Human Resources to monitors employee relation practices of key staff and to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.  

Qualifications:

  •          Must be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA).
  •          Bachelor's Degree in health care administration, business administration, finance, or a medical specialty.
  •          3+ years' experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  •          3+ years' supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  •          Comprehensive knowledge of Long-Term Care Medicaid and Medicare and IDPH regulations and standards.
  •          Establishes and manages goals and objects for Department Managers analysis and strategic planning consistent with the company mission.
  •          Demonstrates leadership with all facility staff through effective team building, motivation, change management, efficient time management, delegation, stress management and effective and timely communication.
