ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detail oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm. May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage.

Primary Responsibilities:

Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with ProHealth’s Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines. Consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessaryUse call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with cliniciansGreet patients and conduct check-in and check-out processAnswering phone callsMonitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as neededScan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visitsClose payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble and balance batch(es) according to ProHealth cash control proceduresMaintain knowledge of current OSHA and ProHealth policiesAssist coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamworkPerform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED (or higher)1+ year of receptionist experience
Ability to travel 10% of the time within 30 miles of territory assigned, have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with an electronic health record Knowledge of medical terminologyOffice Administrative / Receptionist / Clerical experience in a medical environmentCustomer Service experience in retail, hospitality, etc.Knowledge of ICD - 10 and CPT coding
