As a Clinical Pharmacist, you’ll play an essential role in keeping patients safe and comfortable before, during and after tests and procedures. Pharmacists work closely with physicians, nurses and other caregivers to give patients the efficient, streamlined care that Cleveland Clinic is known for. Responsibilities include: 

Documenting services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. 

Ensuring pharmacy operations follow national accreditation standards. 

Selecting, dosing, administering and dispensing medication appropriately. 

Providing patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.

Utilizing available technology proficiently. 

Verifying orders and dispensing medications according to state and federal regulations.

Educates and trains students, residents, other caregivers and patients.

Responsibilities:

​Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate.Compounds and dispenses medications for delivery to patients.Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. from an accredited college of pharmacy.

Certifications:

Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

Minimum one year related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Mobility, grasping, bending, reaching, sitting and standing.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to lbs.
