ZACHRY  is currently seeking an Ironworker III for Maintenance work at our EXXON BEAUMONT facility in Beaumont, TX. NO PER DIEM OFFERED.

Description for Internal Candidates

Helper Ironworkers will assist Journeyman Ironworkers with constructing iron/steel structures to specifications.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

Position Responsibilities

Identify all tools required for tasks. Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks. Assist with fabricating equipment according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Hoist equipment and tools into a location via bull rigging or crane. Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and/or levels. Assist with the connecting of columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors. Bolt aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting or bolting. Pull, push, or pry iron/steel equipment into approximate positions for bolting into place. Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment. Other duties as assigned Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Qualification Highlights

Must have + years of experience as an Industrial Ironworker Helper. Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below). Must be able to meet all physical requirements. Must be able to work at heights in excess of ft. Must have all required tools. Must have reliable transportation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have experience with rigging and rigging equipment. Must be able to illustrate knowledge of the construction process of constructing a steel/iron structure. Must have knowledge of basic hand and power tools and their proper use. Must be able to and willing to follow all safety requirements. Must be able to work at Heights. Must have reliable transportation.
