Cancer Registrar II - Cancer Registry Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cancer Registrar II to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cancer data, contributing to the quality of patient care and research efforts.


Responsibilities
Abstract and code cancer cases according to the American Joint Commission on Cancer (AJCC) and National Cancer Institute (NCI) standards. Maintain accurate and complete cancer registry records, including patient demographics, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up information. Prepare and submit reports to state and national cancer registries. Assist with data analysis and quality assurance activities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate data collection. Stay current on changes in cancer registry standards and regulations. Participate in professional development activities to maintain certification
Qualifications
Two years experience. Familiarity with Commission on Cancer Standards Experience in Health Information or Cancer Registry Experience in Commission on Cancer accredited registry Courses in medical terminology anatomy and physiology High School Graduate or GED Education CTR Licensure required

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years experience in Commission on Cancer accredited registry Assiciate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts/Science in Heath Information Health Sciences or Data Management Basic Principles of Cancer Registry Management Course Experience in Cancer Registry report generation
