About the Role:

The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for leading an IT team in the end-to-end data management of our new cloud data lake and warehouse, our Microsoft Power BI environment for reporting and visualizations, and our legacy reporting solutions (SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Azure data platform technologies, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. Proficiency in SQL, DAX, MDX, and Python for data analysis is essential. Although this will be a management focused role there will still be opportunities to assist with actual development work on our data platform along with prototyping new solutions and use cases for AI, machine learning, and other advanced analytics technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage an IT team responsible for end-to-end data management of our reporting solutions, data lake and warehouse, and Power BI environment.

· Ensure that support tickets are handled promptly and efficiently, meeting defined SLAs and providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

· Prioritize and allocate resources for new project work, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget.

· Coach and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and professional development.

· Assist in defining and implementing the architectural direction of our data analytics technologies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and provide actionable insights for decision-making purposes.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and recommend innovative approaches to improve our data management and reporting capabilities.

· Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the data analytics processes, working closely with our data governance team to implement governance and quality control measures.

· Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, standard operating procedures, and best practices.

· Lead our data visualization center of excellence, which drives enterprise-wide standardization of our reports and dashboards and the datasets they utilize.

· Help maintain guidelines and processes for deploying development deliverables between environments utilizing our devops continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Let’s Talk About Your Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology or related major, or equivalent experience.

· Minimum of 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure data platform technologies, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.

· Experience with legacy reporting solutions such as SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.

· Proficient in SQL, DAX, MDX, and Python for data analysis and manipulation.

· Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.

· Understanding of AI, machine learning, and other advanced analytics techniques and technologies.

· Understanding of version control (Git), devops, and agile project management practices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

· Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

· Relevant certifications in data analytics or cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
