Red Nucleus is hiring a Medical Writer to join our global team This role can be based out of our US offices or can be full-time remote in the US. 

How You Will Contribute

In this position, you will be working with our Medical Communications team. .


The Medical Writer works closely with the Medical Director or Account Lead on the Medical Services Team with planning, creating, proofreading, annotating, and managing scientific content for an assigned account(s) across a range of therapeutic areas, addressing different target audiences. The Medical Writer is expected to lead individual projects and client communications, when appropriate, and provide internal team/client(s) with strategic medical communication recommendations that support the achievement of brand goals in the marketplace.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with Account Director and Medical Director to build client confidence in Red Nucleus service offerings and participate on client calls as appropriateSupport the Medical Services Team with strategic planning, developing, writing, and editing materials to meet deliverable milestonesDeliver high-quality work in partnership with the Team Lead/Medical DirectorLead the development of assigned project(s) successfully meeting client expectations with Medical Director or Lead Account review/guidanceConduct research on assigned projects, fact check, and secure referencesProofread and annotate work to comply with in-house, client, and/or American Medical Association (AMA) style guidesAssist with client regulatory submissions into appropriate platform(s) and, if appropriate, join medical, legal, and regulatory review processApply creative and critical thinking skills to resolve problems or issues in a variety of situationsProvide onsite support at key client meetings or events in adherence with the standards and expectations of Red NucleusMaintain current knowledge of industry trends, standards, and key medical topics and terminology to serve as a resource to internal and client teamsExhibit a professional image and demeanor; demonstrate adaptability and dedication to exceptional client service

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

Advanced degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, or biosciences preferred. Undergraduate degree in related discipline with applicable combination of education and experience will be consideredClinical content development and writing experience required, with strategic focus in a medical communication agency setting (~2 years required; 3 years preferred); this can include, but is not limited to, development of unbranded, branded, promotional slide decks, advisory boards, core claims documents, or eLearningStrong writing skills and medical terminology knowledge, with a high level of attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and, in particular, PowerPointStrong organizational and timeline prioritization skills; scheduling flexibility to accommodate work volumes with the ability to manage multiple assignmentsMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to travel overnight for business on an occasional basis (approximately 15%-25%)Potential for remote position or attendance to Yardley office
