Qualifications:

Prior successful high school level basketball coaching experience desired. Possess strong leadership, staff development, integrity and character development

skills.

Possess strong communication and organizational skills. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge regarding the skills and strategies of basketball. Ability to represent the Carson City-Crystal Area Schools in a positive manner when

dealing with opponents, officials, players, parents, and spectators.

Essential Responsibilities:

Emphasize the importance of academic excellence and assist in monitoring and

maintaining high academic standards for members of the basketball program.

Promote the basketball program in a positive manner within the school community. Demonstrate current knowledge of strength and conditioning programs for basketball

and execute such programs within the parameters of the school’s regulations.

Foster an appreciation of the values of athletics, a desire to perform at the highest

level, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school and

community.

Promote the development of multi-sport/activity athletes. Take a role in fundraising to meet the needs of the program and care for the district’s

facilities and resources.
