Material Handler – Position Summary

Responsible for the movement, protection, storage and control of materials and products throughout manufacturing, warehousing, and/or distribution centers. Helps expedite movement of parts, equipment, and materials according to schedule and priorities. Reads schedules and inventory reports to determine type and quantity required, availability of stock, and order priority. May perform the roles of Forklift Driver. Level: Has working knowledge and skills. Completes assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures and with a moderate degree of supervision.

Pay: $24.44 - $27.00

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties: 

Operating propane and/or electric forklift vehicles Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed Material preparation and material handling Other general warehouse duties as needed Gathers the necessary materials to support the production floor Pull for production Move material from production staging to routes Stocking/replenishing/picking/pulling Detects and reports defective materials Labels finished products to match appropriate paperwork Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Retrieve raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products for proper assembly Other general warehouse duties as needed Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
